After retiring from full-time employment, he decided to turn his passion for baking into something meaningful — creating homemade cakes and treats to share with family, friends and others who appreciate a good bake.

A Life of Two Passions
Cantonese Opera has been a lifelong passion for Peng Mun. Under the pupilage of renowned Chinese Opera actress Hong Xiannu, he developed a deep appreciation for the discipline, artistry and craftsmanship behind the traditional art form.
Retirement has opened a new chapter, but not a new direction. Peng Mun continues to be actively involved in Cantonese Opera, directing performances and coaching students in their pursuit of greater skill and artistry.
At the same time, he has embraced his love for baking, creating homemade loaves and treats from his kitchen.
Today, both passions continue to have a place in his life — each requiring patience, dedication and a love for the craft.

The name The Pastry Monument was inspired by Peng Mun's initials — P.M. — and represents something lasting that is built from passion, patience and craft.
For Peng Mun, baking is not simply about making a cake.
